AI in Radiology: Out of the Lab, into the Clinic; Charles E. Kahn, Jr., MD, MS, FACR

Presentation Summary:
The growing number of AI systems that have received FDA clearance has sparked excitement about adopting these tools into clinical practice. However, a number of challenges remain: how choose the right AI product, how to implement it, and how to pay for it. This presentation will provide a brief overview of reimbursement for the use of AI tools and will present a set of guidelines to help radiologists select AI products for their needs. We’ll also discuss ways that radiologists use AI to increase productivity and add value to the healthcare enterprise.
