Anderson Honored as Viste Award Winner

The Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation presented Dr Jade Anderson with the 2026 Kenneth M. Viste, Jr., MD Young Physician Leadership Award recipient at this year’s Health and Harmony event. The prestigious Kenneth M. Viste, Jr., MD Young Physician Leadership Award was established in 2006 in memory of Dr. Viste, a compassionate and passionate physician leader who exemplified commitment to patients, community, and the profession of medicine. Nominations for this award come from physician peers and the recipient demonstrates activities and values that promote Dr. Viste’s exceptional legacy.

Dr Anderson is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She is recognized for her commitment to service by mentorship, excellent patient care, and leadership in professional organizations including the Wisconsin Radiological Society (current Secretary-Treasurer and ACR Councilor), American Medical Association, and the Wisconsin Medical Society. Dr. Anderson demonstrates passion for nurturing future leaders in the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), Break the Glass, and RadDiscord initiatives. She has several scholarly contributions including presentations and peer reviewed journal articles in the field of radiology. Dr. Anderson received multiple nominations that highlight her active engagement in advocacy and leadership at the local, state, and national level.

In addition to presenting an engraved award to Dr. Anderson, the Foundation will contribute a donation in her honor to Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, Inc, empowering all individuals to manage their sexual and reproductive health through patient services, education, and advocacy.
